Our unit is self-sustainable but it may require a bit of maintenance, for a longer lifespan.
For unit maintenance this is what you can do to help:
Assist Greyparrot with simple maintenance activities when required (switch off/on hardware, unplug cables, check for unit lights)
For maintenance purpose (e.g. cleaning of the glass planes) it is necessary to mount the monitoring unit in an accessible manner.
Any covers or lids should be manipulated with industrials tools only by authorised individuals.
The monitoring unit is allowed to be operated indoor only to be protected from environmental conditions like snow, continuous humidity etc.
The camera lens should be cleaned every six months if it shows any signs of impairments (e.g. dust, condensation, residue)
Our unit has fans front and back. These fans should be cleaned every six months if dust accumulates.
Keep the power and ethernet cables as straight as possible. In due time, if the cables are bent, especially the RJ45 cable, it may split, disconnecting the unit from the network. If the unit is acting up due to this, we may ask you to replace the cables.
The unit works best when it is continuously connected, if your facility has a specific schedule, please communicate it with us beforehand.
